ROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIPS - Each year two professional development scholarships are awarded in the amount of $500 each. Named in memory of Robert “Bob” Shepherd, Jr. and Rodney C. Hubbard, these scholarships can be used for academic courses, professional development, and to attend conferences. Whatever your professional development needs, VJJA wants to support your professional growth

YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS - VJJA members may nominate a youth with current or prior involvement in the Juvenile Justice or Human Services system whose involvement exemplifies the importance of overcoming personal obstacles as well as the power of personal achievement.
In the Fall of 2012, the President’s Child Advocacy Fund was renamed in memory of long time child advocate W. Stephen Pullen. This fund provides scholarship money for a youth to attend an institute of higher learning, trade, or vocational program. The youth must show a financial need. Funds will be paid directly to the institute/program, not to the youth. |
